Dr. Shute is the medical director and a practicing internist at GreenField Health. He integrates his experience from his clinical, administrative and consulting roles to identify practical solutions to real world challenges faced by physicians, health systems, and community leaders. His portfolio of experience includes extensive work with quality measurement and reporting, quality improvement, practice transformation, physician engagement and physician culture, transparency, and the application of information technology in clinical practice.
Dr. Shute works effectively with organizational leaders and practicing physicians alike. He brings strong listening and problem solving skills as well as facilitation skills. He delivers key note presentations on a variety of topics, including physician engagement, clinic culture, quality measurement and improvement, practice efficiency, and application of information technology.
Dr. Shute regularly moderates the popular Author in the Room series, co-sponsored by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and JAMA. He also serves as the medical director for Partner for Quality Care: Information for a Healthy Oregon which is an initiative of the Oregon Health Care Quality Corporation funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. In this role, Dr. Shute works collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in health care reform to develop community wide solutions to quality measurement, public reporting, and quality improvement.
Dr. Shute consults to the Oregon Primary Care Association (OPCA) as a faculty member and works directly with clinics to support practice transformation. He has done extensive work for Care Oregon around practice improvement. He is actively involved with the Oregon Medical Association (OMA) and serves as the chair for their Healthcare Finance Committee and is a member of their Executive Committee. Formerly, he served as the medical director for Acumentra Health (formerly OMPRO), Oregon’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization.

Steve Rallison is the Chief Operating Officer of GreenField Health and has over 25 years of progressive experience leading and directing healthcare organizations. His unique background blends both acute care and physician practice management with a considerable amount of consulting work.
As a consultant, Steve has provided organizations with an array of services including; compensation design, revenue cycle improvement, performance improvement, workflow and process redesign, and performance and strategic initiatives regarding governance and management of physician groups within hospital systems.
Prior to his career in consulting, Steve served as Chief Administrative Officer of the Duluth Clinic, a 350 physician multi-specialty group practice in Duluth, Minnesota. In this capacity, he implemented continuous quality improvement methods and expanded the clinic from 160 to 350 physicians and to 20 locations. He participated in the successful integration of the clinic and hospital and the development of physician leadership throughout the group practice.
Steve also served as the CEO of the Michigan division with Bon Secours Health System where he had total accountability for the operations of the 310 bed hospital, 150 bed skilled nursing facility, retail pharmacies and home care. Prior to this work, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for The Carle Foundation and Assistant Administrator with Intermountain Health Care and Toledo Hospital.
Steve is experienced in all aspects of board relations, strategic planning, facility planning, community relations, marketing, contracting, employee relations and physician relations. He currently serves on the prestigious Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award as a Senior Examiner and healthcare subject matter expert. Mr. Rallison holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Washington University.

Dr. Mital divides her time at GreenField Health between delivering patient care as a practicing internist, and consulting work. On the consulting side, her interests lie in redesigning primary care delivery systems and working to help groups to improve their chronic care systems. Her consulting work at GreenField Health has been largely focused on a project with the Oregon Primary Care Association (OPCA) where she is helping to facilitate a medical home demonstration project for a network of community health centers throughout Oregon.
Dr. Mital also remains very involved at Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) where she currently leads practice improvement efforts in a Diabetes Clinic and helps to teach residents about the chronic care model and quality improvement. She is currently working as the principal investigator for a grant project at OHSU that is working to implement aspects of the patient-centered medical home in a faculty Internal Medicine practice. As the principal investigator, she is focused on looking at data, reporting and team based improvement projects.
Dr. Mital is a graduate of Michigan State University. She completed her residency and fellowship in General Internal Medicine at OHSU. Before joining the practice at GreenField Health, Dr Mital worked with the California Chronic Care Collaboration to help implement the chronic care model in academic settings.
