Knowledge Paves the Path to Lifelong Lifestyle Changes
Transformation at GreenField Health is science- based and physician-supervised by Cynthia Ferrier M.D. She is a highly-regarded internal medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience helping patients deal with health issues related to weight and lifestyle choices. Very few weight loss programs in the area offer you the chance to work directly, one-on-one, with a physician on your weight and lifestyle. Dr. Ferrier is passionate about the challenge of weight loss and designed the program to be fun, friendly and personalized to your body and your lifestyle.
A Unique Assessment Process
Your Transformation experience begins with a 90-minute personal assessment session that evaluates—and helps you understand—where you are now so that you can move forward with confidence. It includes:
- Measurement of your resting heart rate and blood pressure.
- Computation of your resting metabolic rate.
- Appropriate blood testing.
- Body fat percentage determination.
- Calculation of calorie requirements.
- Scale weight and body mass index calculation.
- Medical history review.
This process will help you clarify your goals and customize your lifestyle changes. At the time of your initial assessment, you will be given a handy calorie and fat counter book, a journal to help monitor your progress, and reading materials to help you learn more about nutrition, health and fitness. You also will receive additional helpful materials at your weekly individual meeting and at each monthly group session.
A Comprehensive Program
After the initial assessment, Transformation at GreenField Health includes quarterly group sessions. These meetings are designed to educate and motivate participants in a fun, effective environment. Together, participants work to dispel health-related myths and misconceptions, practice stress management strategies and relaxation techniques, identify self-defeating behaviors and body image issues and much more. In addition, you will see Dr. Ferrier one-on-one for a brief weekly meeting to review your food and exercise plan, check your weight and discuss any challenges for that week.
Two Menu Plans Mean More Flexibility for You
Transformation Balanced Food Plan. With this option participants are able to choose regular food and work directly with Dr. Ferrier on a plan that will include three carbohydrate and protein balanced meals, plus three snacks daily. This plan will include moderate calorie restriction together with a balanced exercise plan that includes aerobic exercise and stretching.
Transformation Medifast® Food Plan. This plan incorporates Medifast food items in conjunction with the web-based support program called Take Shape for Life. As a TSFL coach, Dr. Ferrier can help participants order their food items. This option allows participants to have a lower calorie meal plan which is protein fortified in order to balance protein and carbohydrate intake to avoid muscle loss and slowing of metabolism. The All-Inclusive Fee Prevents Costly Surprises
The cost of the 3 month program is $495. There are no additional costs unless you chose to supplement your food choices with Medifast items. The Transformation at GreenField Health program includes:
- 90- minute initial assessment
- Quarterly group sessions, including a delicious, healthy light snack
- Weekly one-on-one appointments with Dr. Ferrier either in person or online
- Educational books and handouts
A continuation program is also available which allows you to continue, beyond the 12 weeks, with your weekly meetings with Dr. Ferrier. It also allows you to continue attending group meetings. Interested participants can discuss this program option with Dr. Ferrier as they near completion of the inital 3 month program.
