One of the things that convinced me to be a family physician was when, as a medical student, I assisted at an office visit in which four generations of women in a family were present for the great-granddaughter’s checkup. All four were patients of the physician, and he made it a point to check in with each of them that day. I still enjoy imagining myself as a small town doctor and hope to create that small-town sense of community and relationship both within our clinics and among the families that choose GreenField as their medical home.

I believe that this relationship is the foundation for effective, efficient, comprehensive, and personal healthcare, and it is what I strive to deliver to my patients.

I love spending time with my wife Elizabeth, whose face you might see on this website, and with Harper and Thomas, our delightful daughter and son. We enjoy hiking and biking and playing in Portland’s great parks. I also play guitar and have written funny songs in the past; I hope to find my silly muse again in the near future. I’m sure Harper and Thomas will help me with this.
